Scholarships

As of now these are the scholarships declared for 2010. We may add more as we get more sponsors. The application can be submitted on line by visiting applyonline link or a PDF version be downloaded from the 'download' section. The PDF version can be downloaded, filled up and e-mailed to TTF. In near future it will be made possible send a printed and filled-up application to the local office in Tripura. Please note that, the applicant must be a resident of the State of Tripura.

1. Shrimati Santosh Bala Bhaumik memorial scholarship

An annual scholarship to be given by the family of late Shrimati Santosh Bala Bhaumik in her memory. The value of the scholarship is Rs. 5000 as of 2010. A sum of the same amount will be assured per year till the awardee finishes his/her current course of education.

2. Shri Abanimohan Kar memorial scholarship

An annual scholarship in memory of late Shri Abanimohan Kar, friend, philosopher and guide to many of his students and a freedom fighter, to be given by Shri Amitabha Kar. The value of the scholarship is Rs. 5000 as of 2010.

3.Shri Pran Gopal Saha memorial scholarship

An annual scholarship in honour of Late Pran Gopal Saha to be given by his son Dr. Salil Saha for the most promising medico of the year.

4. Mother Teresa Scholarship

In the memory of Mother Teresa for her great service to humanity, her great sacrifices for poor and treating every needy human being as a form of god - An annual scholarship of Rs.18000/-(Rs.1500/- per month) is awarded to a girl student of Tripura who is from poor financial background, struggling hard in life and continuing her studies in spite of her hardships. This scholarship is sponsored by Saumen Sarkar, USA.

2010 Mother Teresa Scholarship went to Ms Surbhanu Bibi, a student of Matinagar High School, Tripura - Scholarship started from 1st May and Rs.1500/- deposited to Tripura Commission for Women Bank a/c.

5. Shrimati Sudipta Kar memorial scholarship

An annual scholarship in memory of Srimati Sudipta Kar (1947-2005). This is in recognition of her commitment and devotion to teaching. Being an academician, educator and a mentor to students and colleagues. The value of the scholarship is Rs. 5000 annually starting 2010. The recipient will be chosen by the scholarship committee. TTF will assign a mentor for the recipient should he/she needs one.

This scholarship is being sponsored by Mr. Saugato Seal and the sum of the same amount will be assured per year till the awardee finishes his/her current course of education.
